Bruce Wasserman is an accomplished graphic designer, having done his Masters work in Industrial Design at the prestigious Pratt Institute and a BFA in Advertising/Graphic Design from the New York Institute of Technology. Over the course of his career, he … has earned numerous accolades in both graphic and industrial design. Bruce has shared his expertise as an adjunct faculty member at Baruch College’s School of Continuing & Professional Studies and New York Institute of Technology. His leadership roles include serving as Vice President of Product Development and Marketing at several consumer and industrial companies. He also held the position of Vice President at the New York Personal Computer User Group, where he founded specialized subgroups such as the Corel Draw and New York Graphics user groups. As a Certified Microsoft Trainer, Bruce has trained IT professionals and network administrators in transitioning from MS-DOS to the Windows operating systems. He has also guided creative teams at major advertising agencies in mastering business and graphics software. His technical acumen has led him to participate in beta testing for industry giants like Microsoft, Corel, and Adobe— often simultaneously testing competing vector-based programs with the companies’ approval. Bruce founded Bruce Wasserman & Associates (“BWA”) in New York City, through which he had the extreme joy of working with Peter Goldberger to reintroduce Hall China Company back to the retail sales environment doing by designing products and comprehensive marketing materials, including catalogs, advertising, packaging, and trade show booths. BWA also worked with Sanyo Electric, designing packaging for three divisions and creating a detailed manual for a packaging system adaptable for implementation in Japan. His client portfolio includes Celludata Corporation (Toronto), Frost & Sullivan, Sperry Rand, and Osrow Products. He later founded Better Design Works to develop products for licensing, some of which are still available. With over five decades of experience in corporate design, Bruce has honed a deep understanding of visual communication, product marketing, and audience engagement. A lifelong car enthusiast, Bruce has owned a range of iconic vehicles—from the iconic 1959 Twin Fin Pontiac Catalina Convertible to a Chevrolet Malibu convertible with a 5 speed Hurst shifter, to the Triumph Spitfire, a Porsche 944, a Mazda RX8, a BMW 650xi Convertible, and currently, a Mercedes C-Class Convertible. His passion for automobiles began with his first car, a 1960 Plymouth Valiant, and continues to fuel his enthusiasm today. Bruce is thrilled to contribute his design and marketing expertise to the development of the New York Auto Museum. He is committed to helping shape it into a world-class destination for general audiences as well car lovers everywhere. A life-long New Yorker, Bruce resides in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
